Job Description:

A prominent plaintiff's law firm based in the Hackensack, NJ area, is seeking an experienced Personal Injury (Plaintiff) Litigation Paralegal /Case Manager to join their expanding team. The ideal candidate must possess 5-10 years of litigation experience. Previous litigation and personal injury experience are required. Medical malpractice experience is a plus. Candidates without the required experience will not be considered.

Responsibilities:
Including, but not limited to:
--- Setting up case structure, organizing case documents and calendar dates
--- Preparing and filing legal documents including discovery requests/responses
--- Researching expert witnesses and scheduling depositions
--- Communicating with legal team members, clients, counsel, experts, and court
--- Subpoena medical and other records
--- Reviewing documents/medical records and preparing detailed summaries/chronologies

Qualifications:
--- Self-starter who can work with little supervision, be extremely organized, and very detail-oriented
--- Ability to multi-task effectively and prioritize incoming work to meet deadlines
--- Demonstrate a professional demeanor to problem-solve during busy times
--- Follow through with minimal direction and take the initiative
--- Treat others with respect and contribute to a positive team environment
--- Knowledge of Trial pad and/or TrialWorks a plus
--- Strong computer skills with Microsoft Word and PDF conversion software. Excel and PowerPoint experience is necessary
--- Knowledge of Local and State discovery rules
--- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
--- Organization skills and attention to detail
