Start your Voyage - Apply Now Get to Know the Opportunity: This position will be part of a small, dedicated team responsible for overseeing Voya Investment Management's growing alternatives business, focusing on Alternatives Funds Accounting. The Fund Alternatives platform is now $3+billion across a suite of alternative credit, residential and commercial mortgages, and project finance. Growth of the Fund Alternatives platform is a key corporate initiative, and there is a robust product pipeline across multiple investment strategies and asset classes. Preference is for a candidate with knowledge of direct lending, fixed income, derivatives, and/or FX markets. The position will need to partner with internal stakeholders and third-party service providers; candidate should be a collaborative team player while also able to work independently, with strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Please Note: This position has been designated as a hybrid-office/home role in Voya's New York office. Details of your in-office schedule will be finalized with your manager. The Contributions You'll Make:

  • Review of net asset values and investor statements, including reconciliation of fund accruals, expenses, and investor allocations of management fees and performance fees/carried interest
  • Review of annual fund audits and quarterly and semi-annual financial statements under U.S. GAAP and/or IFRS accounting standards
  • Review of investor statements, capital calls and distributions.
  • Liaise with third-party service providers, including auditors, tax accountants, and administrators.
  • Assist with tax reporting requirements of the alternative funds platform.
  • Partner with Legal and Operations teams to meet all regulatory and board reporting requirements.
  • Help to enhance and document process, procedures and controls for reconciliation and reporting related to all investment fund accounting matters.
  • Assist with investor reporting and requests.
  • Complete ad-hoc requests for senior managementPreferred Knowledge & Experience:
    • Ideal candidate will have a minimum 3 years of relevant experience in accounting and demonstrated ability to support fund platforms.
    • Understanding of fixed income and mortgage backed securities, direct lending and derivatives preferred.
    • Strong understanding of the dynamic accounting, tax, and regulatory requirements applicable to private funds, including master feeder and share series structures.
    • Good understanding of various types of fee structures (i.e. Waterfall vs Incentive fee)
    • Familiarity with fund documents and the application of the concepts within those documents.
    • Attention to detail and ability to work independently
    • Team player, flexible and ability to adapt

The below annual base salary range reflects the expected hiring range(s) for this position in the location(s) listed.
