Now Hiring for a Teaching Instructor to support an Education Nonprofit Organization in Center City!

This opportunity starts part time with the opportunity to become full time after 1 year.

Teaching Instructor - Part Time Job Details:

• Schedule: Tues./Thurs. - onsite: 8am - 5pm, Friday onsite: 8am - 3pm (Option to work remote one Friday per month)
• Pay Rate: $20.00 - $21.00
• Type: Contract to Hire Teaching Instructor - Part Time Job Description:
  • Supporting & instruction the deployment of curriculum for the learners. Includes co-instruction, full group and small group engagement
  • Class is conducted by the lead instructor including Professional Business Communication protocols, as well as effective technology instruction including the MS 365 package.
  • The Instructor assistant will circulate the classroom, and the online portal to notice and assist where required
  • Assisting job seekers with logging-in to remote meetings and on-site software packages in the existing hybrid model
  • Maintaining active engagement with each job seeker by providing high energy and enhanced motivation as they learn the discipline of classroom participation and prepare for job search after training
  • Supporting the lead instructor with basic technical assistance for approximately 20 - 30 hybrid learners, addressing one - to -one questions offered by our adult learners (i.e. How to save documents, share content in Office 365, create a professional email, and generate Word, PowerPoint, Excel documents, etc.).
  • Support to online/hybrid learners is the same via small group or one-to-one Zoom meeting as directed/requested by the Lead Instructor, when needed for challenge assignments to fast learners, or remedial one to one assistance to those who are new to computer tools. Teaching Instructor - Part Time Job Requirements:
    • A minimum of 2 years' experience as a teaching assistant or similar role that includes customer service, and/or training
    • Associate's degree in Education or relevant field is preferred, not required. (College student in related field will be considered, a career option for retired professional in social service or education)
    • Working proficiency of MS Office 365 with a full understating/ability to use remote training platforms in Hybrid setting
