Our busy dental practice is growing, and we need a caring and competent certified dental assistant to support our team! The ideal applicant will deliver high-quality dental services and patient care that leaves our clients feeling like family. You must be licensed with 2 years of experience in dental assisting and possess fantastic communication skills.

Responsibilities:

--- Help dentists and dental hygienists during procedures or examinations by providing suction, handing off dental instruments, and ensuring chair-side accessibility to the team
--- Prepare and lay out sterilized equipment, dental instruments, anesthetics, dental supplies, and materials inside treatment rooms for examinations and dental procedures
--- Adhere to all dental office infection control policies and safety regulations by disinfecting and sterilizing all equipment and instruments after use
--- Provide postoperative instructions with methods for infection control of the patients' teeth and gums after procedures, answer any questions they may have about dental hygiene, and schedule appointments for patient care follow up
--- Welcome patient and explain dental care treatment plans so they feel comfortable during their appointment


Qualifications:

--- Current BLS/CPR certification is required
--- Proficiency with computers, and experience updating patient histories, and with dental software is necessary
--- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) certification or RDA state license by the Dental Assisting National Board's (DANB)
--- Strong interpersonal skills, customer service, organization, and excellent communication skills are essential
--- Associate's Degree or a certification from a college or technical school training program accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation is required
