The holidays are quickly approaching and our stores are excited to begin our SEASONAL hiring for Part-Time Cashiers for our Yorktown Heights, NY Store. Cashiers are responsible for processing cash, debit, credit and check transactions using a cash register/point of purchase system. Duties include balancing the cash register, making change, recording purchases, processing returns and scanning items for sale. This seasonal position will run from early November to the first week of January 2025 and offers a salary of $21.05/hour. Since this is a Seasonal position, there are no company benefits associated with this temporary job. Responsibilities Process sales transactions Calculate the cost of products or services Accept payments as indicated as acceptable payments by our SOP Calculate and return change when required by the payment method Maintain adequate change denominations in the cash drawer and request additional change Answer customer questions about products or services Reconcile cash drawers and sales receipts Requirements Excellent work ethic and self motivated to provide excellent customer service Friendly and approachable Must be able to speak, read and communicate in the English language Able to perform basic math using a regi ster to provide accurate change to customers Employment Type: Part Time Salary: $16 - $18 Hourly
